Spring Tech Event & Barbeque

April 19, 2008

9:30 AM - 5 PM

We will meet at the home of Les & Marjorie Randolph.  Along with Les, Dave Hall (Hall's Expert Automotive) will make themselves available to mechanically troubleshoot your Bricklin.  Assistance to owners and minor repairs may be possible.  Brings your cars and let's get them more road-worthy!

The trouble-shooting session will be like last year's event - Bring your Bricklin, tools, and any miscellaneous part needed, as Les Randolph and Dave Hall will be there to help you with minor repair items.  While you are working on your car(s), your guest if you bring one, is certainly welcome to lounge around the pool area and relax, or watch the work on the cars, whatever the case may be.
>
>While this event is focused on troubleshooting & minor repair, we can also talk about the cooling system and A/C system.  Dave Hall in partucular has done some major reworking of our A/C systems and also done significant trouble-shooting on the cooling system of  my car #462.  I now have a car whose coolant system is efficient enough to let me run it in traffic with A/C, even on our hottest days.  While you think about that, picture me sitting in cool-almost too cold car with air flow that is blowing back what little hair I have left!  Don't let the visual make you laugh too hard!  - If you would like your car to be that way too, Dave can tell you what he has done.  Unfortunately my car will not be at the event, though the same cooling work has been done on one of John Martin's cars.  He had his done by Dave after he experienced how much mine had improved!
>
>If you have never been to Les' home, he has a nice shop/garage setup from which he performs his major endeavor, classic Buick restoration work...Don't miss this event - We had a great time last year and the Bricklins that came left in better shape than when they had arrived - the owners too left with more knowledge in general about what we should be looking out for...
>
>Hope you take advantage of this event and come out and have fun with us!

Barbecue

June 28, 2008

Noon to whenever...

Hosted by Kevin Hand, this is plain and simply an excuse to hang out enjoying the nice weather before the heat of summer sets in.  We will enjoy the company of fellow Bricklin owners as we swap B. S. (Bricklin stories not bulls***) and enjoy roast pork & rotisserie chicken, hamburgers & hot dogs, and other classic picnic type foods.

We will be posting a registration document and provide directions to the event as we get closer to the date...
